Job Description
Solar Nigachem Limited is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Account Officer to support its finance operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing accounts payable and receivable, maintaining accurate financial records, performing reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company financial policies.

Key Responsibilities
- Reconcile accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger balances.
- Monitor outstanding customer accounts, follow up on overdue payments, and maintain aged debtors’ reports.
- Process supplier invoices, prepare payment schedules, and reconcile supplier statements.
- Manage petty cash, banking activities, and daily financial transactions.
- Prepare journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and account reconciliations.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Maintain accurate financial records and assist with internal and external audits.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and statutory regulations.
- Assist with fixed asset management, financial analysis, and other accounting duties assigned by the Chief Financial Officer.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc.) in Accounting.
- Professional qualification or part qualification in ACA, ICAN, ACCA, or an equivalent certification is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting or finance experience.
- Experience using SAP ERP or similar accounting software is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Bank Reconciliation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and financial reporting functions.
- Good understanding of financial reporting principles and Microsoft Office applications.
Salary
₦300,000 – ₦350,000 per month
