Kennedia Consulting Limited (KCL) is seeking an experienced Account & Payable Manager to oversee and optimize its accounts payable operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely vendor payments, maintaining strong financial controls, improving payment processes, and supporting efficient cash flow management. This opportunity is ideal for finance professionals with extensive experience in accounts payable, particularly within the oil and gas, EPC, or energy services industry.

Salary: N500,000 – N800,000 per month
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the end-to-end accounts payable process, including invoice verification, vendor payments, purchase orders, and account reconciliations.
- Develop and enforce accounts payable policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with financial, tax, and regulatory requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, resolve payment-related issues, and negotiate favorable payment terms where appropriate.
- Prepare accounts payable reports, cash disbursement forecasts, and aging analyses while supporting treasury and cash flow planning.
- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and optimize ERP-based accounts payable workflows.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop the accounts payable team by setting performance goals and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Professional certification such as ICAN, ACCA, or CPA is required.
- 8–10 years of progressive accounting and accounts payable experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Previous experience in the oil and gas, EPC, or energy services industry is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax regulations, procurement-to-payment processes, and financial systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Sage.
- Proficiency in ERP platforms and digital accounts payable solutions.
- Excellent analytical, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail and integrity.
