AVATAR New Energy Materials Company is hiring a skilled Chinese Translator to support communication and operational activities within its production and security departments. The role is ideal for candidates with strong Chinese and English language proficiency, translation experience, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Salary: N450,000 – N500,000 monthly

Job Responsibilities

• Provide accurate written and verbal translation from Chinese to English and vice versa.
• Interpret conversations during meetings, site operations, and daily interactions between Chinese and non-Chinese speaking staff.
• Facilitate communication between the security team and Chinese management personnel.
• Translate production documents, patrol reports, emergency response plans, and technical training materials.
• Assist the Head of Production Department in supervising daily factory operations.
• Monitor production activities and ensure production staff carry out assigned duties efficiently.
• Support timely communication during emergencies and operational incidents.
• Serve as a cultural bridge between Chinese and Nigerian staff to promote effective collaboration and understanding.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
• 2 – 3 years of experience in translation and interpretation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Chinese and English.
• Ability to hear, speak, and accurately translate the Chinese language.
• Experience in a mining, manufacturing, technical, or business environment is an advantage.
• Fluency in Hausa is an added advantage.
• Experience studying or working in China is a plus.
• Good leadership, coordination, and management skills.
• Ability to work on-site in a full-time capacity.
