Job Description

A leading sustainability intelligence company is seeking an experienced Data Architect to help shape and scale its enterprise data ecosystem. This role focuses on building AI-ready data architectures, enabling advanced analytics, and supporting business growth through modern data strategies. The ideal candidate will work closely with engineering, analytics, governance, and AI teams to design scalable, resilient, and future-focused data solutions.

Salary: EUR 78,000 – EUR 80,000 yearly

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop enterprise-wide data architecture strategies and long-term technical roadmaps aligned with business goals.
  • Design and maintain scalable data platforms, including data lakes, lakehouses, and data mesh ecosystems.
  • Support AI and machine learning initiatives by integrating technologies such as Feature Stores, Vector Databases, and MLOps frameworks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data products are reusable, scalable, and optimized for self-service analytics.
  • Lead technical proof-of-concepts, evaluate emerging technologies, and support the adoption of modern data tools.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance standards, privacy regulations, and ethical AI practices including GDPR, CCPA, and SOX.
  • Provide mentorship and architectural guidance to Data Engineering, Analytics, and BI teams.
  • Drive operational excellence by improving governance processes, reducing technical debt, and supporting platform modernization initiatives.

Job Requirements

  • Strong expertise in enterprise data platforms including data warehouses, data lakes, lakehouses, BI tools, and analytics solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with Databricks is required.
  • Deep understanding of modern analytical architectures such as data mesh, medallion architecture, and self-service analytics.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in data architecture, enterprise architecture, or solution architecture roles.
  • Experience with enterprise data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, SQL, NoSQL, MDM, CDP, and near real-time analytics.
  • Knowledge of data governance frameworks, data quality management, and security best practices.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to mentor teams and support technical decision-making across multiple departments.
  • Relevant certifications such as TOGAF, CDMP/DAMA, or CIPP are an added advantage.
