Job Description

A strategic and commercially driven Head of Finance Analyst is required to lead financial strategy, strengthen financial governance, and support executive decision-making within a growing consulting and advisory environment. The role is a senior leadership position focused on financial modelling, investment analysis, and driving sustainable business growth through data-driven insights and robust financial systems.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Strategy & Leadership

  • Partner with senior leadership to define and implement financial strategies aligned with business growth objectives
  • Provide insights on pricing, investment decisions, and capital allocation
  • Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes

Financial Modelling & Analysis

  • Develop and manage advanced financial models including 3-statement models, DCF, NPV, and IRR analysis
  • Conduct scenario planning, valuation modelling, and investment appraisal
  • Translate complex financial data into actionable business insights

Performance Management & Reporting

  • Design and maintain financial dashboards, KPI tracking systems, and management reports
  • Monitor financial and operational performance and recommend corrective actions
  • Prepare investor-ready reports and board-level presentations

Investment & Project Finance

  • Lead feasibility studies, due diligence processes, and investment evaluations
  • Structure financing solutions including equity, debt, grants, and blended finance
  • Engage with investors, DFIs, and financial institutions

Risk Management & Compliance

  • Establish financial controls, policies, and risk management frameworks
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS standards and Nigerian regulatory requirements (FIRS, CAC, and others)
  • Oversee tax planning and statutory reporting processes

Team Leadership & Systems

  • Build and manage a high-performing finance team
  • Implement ERP systems and financial reporting tools
  • Drive efficiency and continuous improvement in financial processes

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • ACA, ACCA, or CFA certification required (MBA is an added advantage)
  • 8–10 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in a senior leadership role
  • Strong expertise in financial modelling, corporate finance, and investment analysis
  • Experience in consulting, investment, manufacturing, or project-driven environments
  • Strong understanding of Nigerian financial regulations and tax frameworks
  • Experience working with DFIs, investors, or across African markets is an advantage
