IT Specialist
Job Description
Ardent Universe is looking for a proactive and technically skilled IT Specialist to manage, monitor, and maintain our company’s IT and internet infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring stable internet connectivity across the office, monitoring network performance, identifying and resolving internet-related issues, and working with Internet Service Providers (ISPs) whenever there is downtime or poor network performance.
Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Job Type: Full-time, On-site
Salary: ₦200,000 – ₦250,000 monthly
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain the company’s internet and network connectivity.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve internet downtime, slow connectivity, and network-related issues.
- Monitor network performance and proactively identify potential issues before they affect operations.
- Liaise with Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to report faults, follow up on outages, and ensure timely resolution.
- Manage and maintain routers, switches, Wi-Fi access points, and other networking equipment.
- Provide technical support to employees experiencing internet, network, hardware, or basic software issues.
- Ensure stable Wi-Fi and LAN connectivity across the office.
- Recommend improvements to the company’s network and IT infrastructure.
- Respond promptly to technical emergencies that may disrupt business operations.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant certification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in IT support, network administration, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of networking, including LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, routers, switches, and internet connectivity.
- Proven experience troubleshooting internet and network-related issues.
- Experience working with and managing Internet Service Providers (ISPs).
