SpringRock Group is looking for a skilled and proactive IT Support Officer to join their team in Lagos. This position is responsible for the management and support of the Information Technology infrastructure, websites, systems, and IT support for the company and the company’s client(s). The officer is also responsible for the development, deployment, and upgrade of the company’s and the company’s client(s) IT infrastructure and equipment. He or she is also responsible for IT Security and IT Integrity of the company and of the company’s client(s)
Key Requirements·
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer science/engineering or Information Technology
- Any secondary certification in software development and networking
- Knowledge of systems engineering, computer maintenance, server administration, installation, repair, and troubleshooting. · Knowledge of computer networking, LAN, WLAN installation, configuration, troubleshooting.
- Good interpersonal skills; should be able to interact with all staff across all levels and cadres
- Creative, open to new ideas, and able to multi-task effectively
Key Responsibilities
- Support for web development and management of websites, domains, security systems, etc.
- Management of Intranet rights, access, and security.
- Support data backup of Project Execution Files.
- Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults and replacing parts as required.
- Install and configure computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and scanners in accordance with IT Service standards.
- Ensure the efficiency and integrity of all systems.
- Provide service and/or training via telephone, web/video conference.
- Monitor, evaluate, and redistribute internet bandwidth as required to ensure that this is not misused during office hours.
- Talk staff through a series of actions, either face-to-face or over the phone, to help set up systems or resolve issues.
- Replace parts as required. ·Support the roll-out of new applications.
- Set up new users’ accounts and profiles and deal with password issues.
- Test and evaluate new technology.
- Verify functionality of hardware and software components.
- Conduct consistent network backup operations.
- Planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance upgrades.
- Restricting access to unauthorized site, downloads and users.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in person, remotely and via phone.
- Investigating, diagnosing and solving computer software and hardware faults.
- Repairing equipment and replacing parts, checking computer equipment for electrical safety.
- Maintaining records of software licenses.
- Set up video and audio conference for meetings.
- Maintain and keep up to date a record of the IT Assets of the company and company’s client(s).
