Operations & Business Manager
Job Description
The Operations & Business Manager will oversee day-to-day operations of the wig manufacturing and retail facility, ensuring efficient workflow, quality standards, and profitability. This role requires deep expertise in wig production processes, styling, and coloring techniques, combined with strong leadership and business management capabilities. The ideal candidate will bridge the technical knowledge of wig craftsmanship with strategic business operations.
Location: Yaba, Lagos.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Management: Oversee daily manufacturing operations, including quality control, inventory management, and production scheduling. Ensure all wig products meet company standards and customer expectations.
- Wig Production & Craftsmanship Oversight: Maintain comprehensive knowledge of different hair types (Human hair , wig making , coloring, styling and fitting techniques), wig-making procedures, and construction techniques. Monitor production teams to ensure proper application of methods and quality assurance throughout the manufacturing process.
- Team Leadership & Development: Lead and supervise production, styling, and administrative teams. Conduct regular training sessions on wig manufacturing techniques, safety protocols, and customer service excellence. Foster a collaborative and quality-focused work environment.
- Google Workspace Administration: Utilize Google Workspace tools (Gmail, Google Drive, Sheets, Docs, Meet) for daily communication, project management, reporting, and team coordination. Ensure proper documentation and information sharing across departments.
- Performance Reporting & Analytics: Generate comprehensive reports on production metrics, financial performance, employee productivity, and quality standards. Analyze data to identify improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions.
- Budget & Financial Management: Manage departmental budgets, control costs, and optimize resource allocation. Monitor revenue, expenses, and profitability while maintaining quality standards.
- Customer Satisfaction: Ensure customer orders are fulfilled according to specifications and timelines. Address customer concerns and feedback promptly to maintain brand reputation and customer loyalty.
Key Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in wig manufacturing, styling, or related hair industry compulsory
- Extensive knowledge of different hair types and wig construction methods
- Proven expertise in wig styling and coloring techniques
- Minimum 3 years of team leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong proficiency with Google Workspace suite (Gmail, Drive, Sheets, Docs, Calendar, Meet)
- Good knowledge of hair inventory management and stock control
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency with reporting tools and data analysis
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
