Kuda Bank is seeking an experienced Portfolio Analysis & Reporting Lead to oversee portfolio monitoring, regulatory reporting, and risk analysis activities. The role focuses on supporting the bank’s financial stability through effective risk management, capital monitoring, stress testing, and compliance reporting. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical capabilities and deep knowledge of banking regulations, portfolio management, and financial reporting standards.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and monitor the bank’s portfolio performance, asset quality, liquidity position, and capital adequacy.
- Evaluate the impact of major loan exposures on profitability, portfolio concentration, and overall capital health.
- Monitor compliance with regulatory requirements and internal risk limits.
- Prepare risk reports for management committees, regulatory bodies, auditors, and other stakeholders.
- Provide portfolio metrics and investor relations reports for internal and external use.
- Prepare portfolio plans based on the bank’s budget proposals and strategic objectives.
- Ensure timely preparation and submission of Capital Adequacy Ratio reports to the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
- Compute Expected Credit Loss (ECL) in line with IFRS 9 standards.
- Prepare ECL movement schedules for internal reporting, regulators, and auditors.
- Conduct stress testing and scenario analysis to assess the bank’s risk exposure.
- Manage and maintain the collateral register and related reporting activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or another numerate discipline.
- Minimum of 8 years relevant experience, preferably within banking, audit, or financial services.
- Strong background in portfolio analysis, risk management, and regulatory reporting.
- Sound understanding of IFRS 9, capital adequacy, liquidity management, and banking regulations.
- Experience in stress testing, financial modeling, and credit risk analysis.
- Excellent analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and other financial reporting or analytical tools.
- Ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
