Quality Assurance Officer
Job Description
A firm is seeking a Quality Assurance Officer to oversee quality control, food safety, and production standards within a food manufacturing environment.
Location: Lagos
Salary: ₦250,000 monthly
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor raw materials, production processes, and finished products.
- Conduct quality and safety checks to ensure products meet required standards.
- Enforce GMP, HACCP, hygiene, and food-safety practices.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate quality records and production documentation.
- Identify and manage non-conformities and recommend corrective actions.
- Conduct routine inspections and prepare quality reports.
- Ensure adherence to approved SOPs and quality standards.
Key Requirements
- Diploma or degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
- 3-5 years’ experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control, preferably in food manufacturing or bakery operations.
- Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and NAFDAC requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work on-site and accommodate early-morning production hours.
- Must be based in Lagos or able to commute reliably.
