Job Description

A reputable consulting firm is hiring a Senior Level SQL Annotator to work remotely from Nigeria. This full time role is ideal for experienced SQL professionals with a strong background in database engineering, data modeling, and query optimization. The successful candidate will evaluate AI generated SQL outputs, improve annotation quality, and collaborate with machine learning teams to enhance AI performance.

Salary: ₦700,000 – ₦1,000,000 per month (depending on work hours)

Key Responsibilities
  • Review, annotate, and evaluate AI generated SQL responses for accuracy, query logic, syntax, performance, security, and readability.
  • Create high quality prompts and reference SQL solutions to improve AI learning on complex data tasks.
  • Assess AI generated solutions, identify technical errors, and provide detailed feedback for model improvement.
  • Build automated SQL audit queries to detect duplicates, conflicting labels, null values, and data quality issues.
  • Validate proof of work code and verify data related claims before annotation approval.
  • Collaborate with machine learning engineers to test and refine annotation guidelines using real database records.

Requirements
  • Minimum of 7 years of professional experience working with SQL in production environments as a Database Engineer, SQL Developer, Data Engineer, or a related role.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
  • Expert level knowledge of SQL, including complex joins, window functions, aggregations, query optimization, and performance tuning.
  • Strong experience designing relational databases, schemas, and data warehouse structures using star and snowflake schemas.
  • Excellent written and spoken English with the ability to produce clear and accurate technical documentation.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify subtle data quality and SQL query issues.
