Mykrogrid Limited is recruiting a qualified and experienced Solar Grid Site Manager to oversee the operation and maintenance of solar power generation and distribution assets. This role is ideal for an electrical engineering professional with strong technical expertise in power systems, solar technology, inverters, and battery storage solutions. The successful candidate will be required to relocate and reside at the project site.
Job Summary
The Solar Grid Site Manager will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, monitoring, maintenance, and performance of a 200–1,000kWp solar grid system. The role involves managing generation and storage assets, maintaining system reliability, addressing technical issues, and providing regular operational reports.
Key Responsibilities
• Monitor and manage solar generation and battery storage assets to ensure reliable and uninterrupted operation.
• Track system performance indicators and implement corrective measures to address operational shortfalls.
• Prepare and submit regular reports on system performance and operational activities.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical faults within the solar grid and distribution network.
• Repair damaged distribution lines and support system restoration when required.
• Respond promptly to client inquiries and maintain professional communication with stakeholders.
• Communicate operational issues and asset status updates to management in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate records of faults, maintenance activities, and corrective actions.
Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Renewable Energy Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience working with electrical power distribution systems, preferably above 500kW capacity.
• Strong knowledge of power generation and distribution systems, including solar energy technologies.
• Experience working with solar panels, inverters, battery storage systems, or other power generation technologies.
• Excellent electrical troubleshooting and fault diagnosis skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability and willingness to relocate permanently to the grid location.
• Experience monitoring and managing power systems such as solar, gas, or other energy systems is required.
