Job Description

Utiva Nigeria is hiring a UI / UX Designer to turn complex product ideas into simple, intuitive, and scalable user experiences. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to design engaging web and mobile interfaces, ensuring usability and consistency from concept to final delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate product requirements into user flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to improve design decisions
  • Design seamless end-to-end user experiences across web and mobile platforms
  • Create clean, user-friendly interfaces aligned with brand guidelines
  • Maintain and scale design systems for consistency across products
  • Collaborate with Product Managers and Engineers to deliver practical, user-centered solutions

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of experience in UI/UX Design or Product Design
  • Strong portfolio showcasing both UX thinking and UI design skills
  • Proficiency in Figma, including components, auto-layout, and design systems
  • Solid understanding of usability, accessibility, and core UX principles
  • Ability to think beyond individual screens and design scalable systems

Nice to Have

  • Experience working on SaaS, EdTech, or marketplace products
  • Basic understanding of front-end development constraints (HTML/CSS)
  • Previous experience in a startup or fast-paced environment
