The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing import and export processes, ensuring compliance with customs regulations, and facilitating smooth cargo clearance. Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the clearing and forwarding of goods while ensuring compliance with customs and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and process import/export documentation, including customs declarations, duty payments, and shipping instructions.
- Liaise with shipping companies, port authorities, and other relevant stakeholders to facilitate smooth cargo movement.
- Monitor shipment status, resolve delays, and provide timely updates to clients.
- Negotiate freight rates and manage cost-effective logistics solutions.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in clearing and forwarding.
- Strong knowledge of customs documentation, procedures, and regulatory requirements in Nigeria.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced logistics environment.
