Job Description

Ecobank Nigeria is seeking a skilled Market and Industry Trend Analyst to provide actionable insights that guide business strategy and decision-making. The role focuses on tracking financial industry developments, competitor activities, and customer behavior to support growth, product innovation, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct ongoing analysis of market and industry trends, including fintech disruption, regulatory changes, interest rates, and FX dynamics.
• Monitor and interpret macroeconomic indicators that impact lending, deposits, and investment products.
• Benchmark competitors’ products, pricing, branch expansion, digital strategies, and marketing campaigns.
• Develop and maintain data dashboards and reports (Power BI, Excel) to present insights on market share, revenue performance, and customer segments.
• Provide market intelligence to support new product development, branch optimization, and strategic initiatives.
• Collaborate with Retail, Commercial, Payment, and Strategy teams to supply relevant insights for key business decisions.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Business Management.
• Proficiency in data mining and analysis using SQL, ETL, and Excel.
• Experience in presenting complex data in clear, business-oriented formats.
• Knowledge of Tableau is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, writing, and presentation skills, with the ability to translate market signals into financial implications.
