Job Description

StraitPay is seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Engineer to support the delivery of reliable, secure, and high-performing financial products. This role focuses on testing consumer-facing fintech applications, identifying quality gaps, and working closely with product and engineering teams to ensure smooth releases. The ideal candidate has strong experience testing B2C financial platforms and understands the importance of security, compliance, and user experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and execute test plans for web and mobile applications
  • Test new and existing products to identify defects, performance issues, and areas for optimization
  • Maintain, update, and improve automated test suites
  • Identify key quality metrics and track product quality KPIs
  • Document defects clearly and provide actionable feedback to engineering teams
  • Review system requirements and ensure test coverage aligns with business and technical needs
  • Investigate quality issues and recommend corrective and preventive actions
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and release teams to support structured deployment cycles

Skills and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 3–5 years of experience in software testing, preferably within fintech or SaaS environments
  • Hands-on experience with functional, regression, and automated testing
  • Strong understanding of web and mobile application testing (iOS and Android)
  • Experience testing consumer-facing financial products, including onboarding, KYC, payments, transactions, and account management
  • Familiarity with API testing, usability testing, and high-volume consumer platforms
  • Knowledge of security, compliance, and data privacy requirements in financial applications
  • Ability to write clear bug reports, test cases, and QA documentation
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and collaboration skills
