Job Description

Tim Motors is seeking an experienced Sales Manager (Spare Parts) to oversee the operations of its automotive parts department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inventory management, supplier relationships, parts sales growth, and ensuring the availability of genuine spare parts to support business operations. This role is ideal for a results-driven professional with strong leadership and supply chain management experience in the automotive industry.

Salary: ₦300,000 – ₦500,000 per month

Responsibilities
  • Manage the daily operations of the automotive spare parts department.
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels while reducing excess stock and minimizing shortages.
  • Source and procure genuine automotive spare parts from approved suppliers.
  • Monitor inventory turnover and implement effective stock control strategies.
  • Collaborate with the sales and aftersales teams to ensure timely availability of parts.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase spare parts sales and profitability.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors while negotiating competitive pricing.
  • Supervise, coach, and evaluate the performance of parts department staff.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, documentation, and operational reports.
  • Resolve customer complaints relating to spare parts promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, operational procedures, and safety standards.
Requirements

Applicants should possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing an automotive parts department or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive spare parts, inventory management, and supply chain operations.
  • Experience using ERP or inventory management systems.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and customer relationship management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet performance targets.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in an automobile dealership or automotive distribution company.
  • Knowledge of both passenger and commercial vehicle spare parts.
  • Professional certifications in supply chain management, inventory management, or logistics will be an added advantage.
