Job Description

A reputable energy company is seeking an experienced Senior Field Project Engineer to oversee the successful execution of civil, structural, and engineering projects across its operations. The role involves coordinating contractors, supervising field activities, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, and supporting project delivery from planning through commissioning. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical expertise, project management experience, and the ability to resolve field engineering challenges in a dynamic oil and gas environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise field construction, installation, and commissioning activities to ensure compliance with engineering specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare project scopes, bills of quantities (BoQs), cost estimates, and provide technical input into project execution plans.
  • Coordinate contractors, monitor project progress, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Review engineering drawings, contractor deliverables, technical documents, and participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and project meetings.
  • Support Management of Change (MoC) activities and provide technical solutions to field engineering challenges.
  • Monitor pipeline right-of-way (ROW) activities, assess potential risks from third-party developments, and recommend preventive or corrective measures.
  • Prepare site inspection reports, progress reports, and project close-out documentation.
  • Liaise with government agencies, contractors, and internal technical teams to resolve project-related issues and maintain operational integrity.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline. Professional certification or chartered status is an advantage.
  • Minimum of 12 years of practical engineering and construction experience within the oil and gas industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, Google Earth Pro, and other engineering or mapping software.
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles, engineering codes, industry regulations, and safety standards.
  • Excellent contractor management, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, assess risks, make sound engineering decisions, and work effectively in field environments.
