Job Description

A reputable microfinance institution is seeking an experienced Branch Manager to lead operations, drive business growth, and ensure profitability at its Victoria Island branch. This role requires a strong balance of leadership, risk management, and customer relationship expertise to achieve performance targets while maintaining strict regulatory compliance.

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Salary: N500,000 monthly

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute branch business strategies to achieve loan, deposit, and revenue targets
  • Drive deposit mobilization, credit growth, and cross-selling of financial products
  • Oversee loan processing, monitoring, and recovery while maintaining PAR ≤ 5%
  • Ensure full compliance with CBN regulations, KYC, AML/CFT policies, and internal controls
  • Supervise daily branch operations to maintain high service delivery standards
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate credit and operational risks
  • Lead, train, and manage branch staff to improve performance and productivity
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships and community partnerships
  • Monitor branch performance and prepare accurate periodic reports
  • Support process improvements and digital transformation initiatives

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field (MBA is an added advantage)
  • 5–7 years of banking experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial role
  • Strong knowledge of microfinance operations, credit management, and regulatory requirements
  • Proven leadership, analytical thinking, and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong understanding of risk management and compliance practices
