Job Description

Octragon is seeking experienced and reliable Drivers to support its operations in Lagos State. The role requires a professional driver who is comfortable driving both manual and automatic vehicles, handling occasional errands and dispatches, and making occasional long-distance trips outside Lagos.

Work Location: Magodo, Lagos State

Responsibilities
  • Safely drive company vehicles for operational and business-related activities.
  • Handle scheduled transportation, errands, and dispatch duties as required.
  • Drive both manual and automatic vehicles confidently and responsibly.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and basic condition of assigned vehicles.
  • Follow Lagos traffic regulations and ensure safe driving practices at all times.
  • Occasionally undertake long-distance trips outside Lagos State.
  • Observe assigned work schedules, including public holidays that fall within scheduled workdays.
  • Report vehicle issues, incidents, or maintenance concerns promptly.

Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional driving experience.
  • Valid Nigerian driver’s licence. Applicants without a valid licence may have one processed at their own cost.
  • Must be between 25 and 40 years old.
  • Good knowledge of Lagos roads and routes.
  • Moderately fluent in English, with the ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to drive both manual and automatic vehicles.
  • Must be willing to work 4 days per week, from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
  • Must be willing to reside in provided accommodation in Magodo, Lagos during the 4 working days. Leaving the accommodation during the 3 off-days is optional.
  • Must be willing to occasionally travel on long-distance trips outside Lagos.
  • Must pass an alcohol test.
  • Must provide a verifiable guarantor residing in Lagos or a nearby area in Ogun State.
  • Must demonstrate reliability, professionalism, and responsible driving habits.

 

Compensation and Benefits
  • Salary: ₦100,000 – ₦150,000 per month, depending on experience.
  • Salary is subject to applicable tax deductions.
  • HMO deduction: ₦5,000.
  • No feeding allowance.
  • Performance or other bonuses may be available.
  • Significant overtime will be compensated.
  • Public holidays are not excluded from the work schedule if they fall within the employee’s 4 scheduled working days.
