Quality Assurance Engineer – Product Quality

Job Description

A reputable automotive organization is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to support product quality, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in mechanical engineering and automotive testing who are passionate about ensuring vehicles and components meet quality, safety, and performance standards. The successful candidate will work closely with cross functional teams to improve product reliability and enhance customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute testing activities for vehicles, engines, subsystems, and mechanical components.
• Conduct customer complaint simulations and assist in identifying root causes of product issues.
• Develop, review, and improve testing standards based on customer usage patterns, market feedback, and quality requirements.
• Monitor testing equipment, laboratory facilities, rig utilization, and ensure compliance with safety and 5S standards.
• Collaborate with engineering, research and development, and production teams to drive continuous quality improvements.
• Prepare accurate testing reports, document findings, and recommend corrective actions where necessary.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Research and Development within a 2W, 3W, or 4W OEM or Tier 1 automotive company.
• Hands on experience working in vehicle, engine, or mechanical testing laboratories.
• Knowledge of data loggers and vehicle instrumentation will be an added advantage.
• Exposure to EMS calibration or Hardware in the Loop (HIL) testing is an advantage.
• Graduate Engineer Trainees in Mechanical Engineering with relevant practical exposure are encouraged to apply.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and technical reporting skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and fast paced environment.
