Job Description

Sterling Oil Exploration & Energy Production Company Limited (SEEPCO) is seeking an experienced Senior Design Engineer (Civil & Structural) to join its engineering team in Lagos. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in structural engineering, industrial building design, and water retaining structures, with strong technical expertise in engineering analysis, project coordination, and detailed design.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders and user departments to gather design inputs and ensure project alignment.
  • Prepare, review, and validate structural designs, engineering calculations, and vendor drawings.
  • Perform structural analysis and design using STAAD.Pro, Foundation 3D, FEM, and other engineering software.
  • Monitor project progress and provide technical support during site execution and project coordination.
  • Participate in engineering review meetings and resolve technical design issues.
  • Assist with preliminary cost estimation, FEED documentation, and detailed engineering deliverables.
  • Maintain accurate engineering documentation, reports, and project records.
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable engineering codes, specifications, safety, and quality standards.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • B.E. or M.Tech. in Civil Engineering.

Experience

  • 10–15 years of proven experience in civil and structural engineering.
  • Strong hands-on experience designing water retaining structures and industrial buildings is required.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in STAAD.Pro, Foundation 3D, and AutoCAD.
  • Strong knowledge of structural design, engineering analysis, FEED, and detailed engineering.
  • Experience reviewing vendor drawings and supporting technical site activities.
  • Knowledge of project coordination, resource planning, and cost estimation.
