Job Description

A leading fintech company is looking for an experienced Senior QA Engineer to join its dynamic team in Lagos. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of product quality through automated and exploratory testing, while also mentoring junior team members and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute automated and exploratory tests to ensure high-quality product delivery.
• Create and manage comprehensive test plans, test cases, and quality assurance strategies.
• Conduct regression testing, analyze debugging results, and track QA metrics such as defect density and open defect counts.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define system requirements and support seamless project execution.
• Identify QA process bottlenecks and recommend improvements while staying updated with new tools and methodologies.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years’ experience as a QA Engineer.
• Strong background in QA methodologies, processes, and tools.
• Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, or C#.
• 4–5 years’ hands-on experience in API automation (Postman, REST Assured).
• Solid knowledge of SQL, scripting, and automated testing tools such as Cypress, Selenium WebDriver, and Appium.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development environments and familiarity with Azure DevOps or Bitbucket.
• Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills with proven leadership ability to mentor junior team members.
• Knowledge of performance and security testing methodologies is an added advantage.
