Job Description

New Energy Nexus is seeking an experienced Global Program Lead, Installer Voices to lead the design and implementation of a new global advocacy initiative focused on empowering solar and battery installers to influence clean energy policy. This six-month contract role involves coordinating research, stakeholder engagement, policy analysis, and program development across Nigeria, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Pakistan. It is an excellent opportunity for professionals with strong advocacy, policy, and clean energy experience who enjoy building impactful programs from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the scoping, research, and strategic design of the Installer Voices initiative across five pilot markets.
  • Coordinate national teams, local partners, and international stakeholders to ensure effective program delivery.
  • Conduct stakeholder mapping, policy analysis, installer interviews, and market assessments to identify advocacy opportunities.
  • Develop a comprehensive Phase 2 implementation blueprint, including research findings, cost models, and strategic recommendations.
  • Build relationships with industry associations, policymakers, research organizations, and global clean energy networks.
  • Support the design of training programs, community engagement initiatives, and impact measurement frameworks.
  • Define success metrics, theories of change, and monitoring frameworks to measure program outcomes.
  • Prepare high-quality reports and strategic recommendations for funders and senior leadership.

Requirements
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in advocacy, public policy, campaigns, public affairs, or strategic program management.
  • Strong knowledge of clean energy, particularly solar energy and related policy frameworks.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and launching new initiatives or programs.
  • Excellent research, stakeholder mapping, analytical, and strategic planning skills.
  • Experience working across multiple countries, cultures, and time zones, preferably within emerging markets.
  • Outstanding written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience using AI tools responsibly to improve productivity is an added advantage.
  • Additional experience with trade associations, coalition building, regional languages, or social movement research is beneficial.
