Head of Operations

Job Description

HRHub.ng Limited is recruiting a highly experienced Head of Operations to provide strategic leadership across manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, procurement, and warehouse operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving operational efficiency, improving productivity, reducing costs, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting business growth through effective operational management.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement operational strategies, production plans, and budgets that align with organizational objectives.
• Oversee daily manufacturing activities to maximize productivity, improve capacity utilization, and minimize operational downtime.
• Manage end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, inventory control, warehousing, and product distribution.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Health, Safety and Environment (HSE), and Sales teams to ensure compliance with food safety standards and customer demand requirements.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and implement Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma initiatives to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
• Supervise facility maintenance activities and oversee capital expenditure projects, including equipment upgrades, automation, and plant expansion initiatives.
• Monitor operational performance metrics and implement corrective actions where necessary.
• Lead, mentor, and develop operations teams while promoting a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.

Job Requirements

Interested candidates should possess:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or Chemical), Food Science, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• An MBA or relevant Master’s Degree will be an added advantage.
• A minimum of 5–10 years of progressive operations management experience.
• At least 3–5 years of experience in a senior leadership position such as Plant Manager or Operations Manager within the FMCG, food, or beverage manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing systems, supply chain management, logistics operations, and inventory control.
• Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Excellent understanding of food safety regulations, quality standards, and compliance requirements.
• Strong leadership, financial management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
