Job Description

A technology-driven healthcare company is seeking a Sr. Customer Service Billing Specialist to support its expanding physician network. This role focuses on resolving billing and claims-related inquiries while delivering a high-quality customer experience within a fast-paced, high-volume call center environment. The position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple customer interactions efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to a high volume of customer inquiries via phone and email
  • Assist with billing and claims resolution, including claim holds, overrides, corrected claims, and coding support
  • Triage incoming cases and prioritize issues based on urgency and complexity
  • Analyze complex billing situations and escalate issues to the appropriate internal teams
  • Follow up on escalated cases to ensure timely resolution and customer satisfaction
  • Identify recurring issues and provide feedback to management for process improvement
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on billing processes and updates, sharing knowledge with team members
  • Provide real-time support to colleagues through internal communication channels
  • Maintain flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required; advanced certification is an added advantage
  • Minimum of 2 years full-time experience in a call center customer service environment
  • Prior experience in healthcare billing and claims resolution is preferred
  • Familiarity with tools such as Salesforce, Microsoft Word, Excel, and web-based applications
  • Experience with AthenaNet is a plus
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work any 8-hour shift between 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM EST
  • Access to a private, quiet workspace with reliable high-speed internet

Salary & Benefits

  • Hourly pay range: $21 – $23 (based on experience, education, and location)
  • Eligibility for an annual bonus (targeted at 10%)
